Bosla Arts has invited walking artist Alisa Oleva to host a series of collective walks - Walking towards you. Each walk invites us to explore the way we connect - to each other, to the streets, to the place where we are now and to the places that we carry with us as we move throughout our lives.
In this walk we will specifically focus on walking and mapping. How do you read your city? What things do you notice and what do you decide to put on your personal map of this place? What happens if you take every second turn right? What desire lines are formed by our footsteps?
In this walk we will explore walking and mapping, creating our own maps of the streets we walk through photography, drawing, smells, and other tools and senses.
Each walk takes a new angle to explore, ranging from sounds to textures, from distance to proximity, from traces to echoes, from friendships to strangers. Throughout the walks Alisa offers various walking scores and instructions that will guide the way we move and explore the public space together, questioning how we can choose to connect to the city and its streets and how the city touches and moves us.
