Art Persists Podcast - Season 4 Wrap-up

As we wrap up Season 4 of the Art Persists podcast, we look back at wonderful and thought-provoking conversations we have had this season.

The episodes collectively explore the transformative power of art and the resilience of artists from diverse backgrounds facing adversity. Through conversations with a range of artists and art-activists, the season delves into themes such as the healing potential of art in mental health recovery, the lived experiences of those affected by war and displacement, and the intersection of artivism and creative expression in protest.

We start the season with a special live episode, recorded during Refugee Week 2023 in collaboration with Counterpoints Arts. A first for us, the conversation took place in front of an audience bringing together three incredible artists; Laura Nyahuye, Ghafar Tajmohammad, and Olga Tkachenko, The episodes also spotlight the personal experiences of artists like Ayman Alhussein, Sofia Karim, Kacey Wong, Murugiah, and Parwana Haydar, shedding light on the profound impact of their work on society and their respective struggles.

Above all, the season is an ode to art and its power to unite us, to inform people of the experiences of others, and be a voice of those who cannot voice their opinions - it’s what Bosla Arts is all about.
