Manal Deeb is a Palestinian American visual artist born in Ramallah, Palestine and currently living in Fairfax, Virginia. Deeb’s artwork has been described as metaphoric creativity of tragedy, transmuted into a form of beauty. Her art simulates persistence and perseverance in a visual artist’s longing for Palestinian belonging. Deeb studied studio arts and psychology and arts in U.S. universities. She has exhibited all over the world in renowned museums, galleries, and events. Deeb’s art has been featured in global key publications and journals, and has been used as material for several educational institutions. Manal is a founder of Y Galleri (ygalleri.com) and she has recently been recognised as one of eleven must-know Arab American visual artists.
