About the work the artist said:
“El Hay is a personal project born from the anxiety of potentially losing one's home. These paintings were created from a deeply intuitive and healing place. The element of light, a familiar motif in my work, was introduced later to serve as a contrasting force within the pieces.
El Hay 1, was the first artwork of this series done back in December 2024, it came after a long period where I was unable to paint. Later on throughout 2025, I decided to turn it into a series, documenting real places around me.”
